Superb Gimblett Gravels Merlot from a world-class winemaking team. Rich and mouth-filling with delicate tannins and soft fruit sweetness. A solid buy for under $20.
Yvonne Lorkin writes "Kick off your shoes, put your MC Hammer pants on and do a happy dance. This juicy, Gimblett Gravels-grown merlot is seriously floral on the nose and resplendent (now that’s a word) with raspberry, liquorice, spiced plum, and chocolate layers’ that lead to a long, fresh finish. The tannins are twangy (I’m sure it’s a word) and textural AF (as the kids say), while your tastebuds can totally touch this with Moroccan meatballs."
The winery writes "Rich and full-bodied Merlot with layered flavours of mixed ripe berries, wild blackberries and blackcurrants. Generous on the palate with subtle fruit sweetness, a silky tannin structure and a long toasty finish."
