Rojo has long enjoyed a reputation as one of New Zealand's most loved Spanish reds, and Seleccion takes all those popularity points and ramps things up quite considerably. Clearly a more serious offering than its younger sibling, this is grenache from the darker side - a meatier and more savoury release with some wood spice notes and more obvious tannin. It's very hard not to like - dinner party worthy but still an easy drinking 'any-timer' - and comes thoroughly recommended.

Cameron Douglas MS writes "Aromas and flavours of dark berries and plum, some black currant and some meaty brown spice payers. Nice weight and core of fruit with contrasting acidity and fine easy tannin structure. Balanced and well made, fresh, fruity and dry finish."
