FIVE STARS 19/20 Raymond Chan. "Medium-full bodied, densely packed ripe fruit flavours of black and dark red berryfruit and plums are complexed by nuances of earthy minerals, iron-earth, sweet oak and subtle spice elements. The fruit is youthfully sweet, forming a concentrated and rich core, and is supported by plenty of fine-grained tannin extraction, proving a firm, fulsome mouthfeel. The wine has presence and carries through to a very long, black-fruited finish. This is a concentrated, well-structured Merlot with ripe black fruit flavours that will develop over the next 8-10+ years. Serve with roast beef, lamb and venison, and with hard cheeses".
FIVE STARS 93/100 Bob Campbell MW ""An elegant, fruity Merlot with plum, red berry, bramble, spice and a suggestion of floral / violet flavours. Quite a dense, powerful red wine from an excellent vintage. It's approachable now, but should age well."
