FIVE STARS 95/100 | Sam Kim Wine Orbit
18/20 | Candice Chow, Raymond Chan Wine Reviews
Tour de force Sauvignon from a top flight producer. This is a really aromatic, punchy wine with layers of crisp exotic flavours and to die for persistence. It's everything you can ask for in premium Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc and an absolute credit to the winemaking and viticultural teams at Rapaura Springs.
Amazing value here with the Advintage Advantage.
Candice Chow writes "Bright, very pale straw-yellow, even colour throughout. The nose is soft and fresh, nuances of salted lime, passionfruit, cassis, along with herbs and dried florals. Medium-bodied, the palate is buoyant, a savoury tone of lime, passionfruit and cassis are moreish; entwined with delicate white pepper, herbs and white florals. The palate is broad on a savoury line flows with crunchy minerals and a light phenolic textured-line. The acidity is supportive and lively, carries fruit and complexity to a sustained finish. This is a savoury Sauvignon Blanc with calm and gentle nature, showing complexity and control, brings flavours of tropical fruit, cassis, herbs and white florals to a long finish."
Sam Kim writes "Gorgeously fruited and intensely aromatic, the wine shows feijoa, passionfruit, green rockmelon and lime peel characters on the nose. It’s equally satisfying on the palate, delivering excellent concentration and persistency, brilliantly complemented by fine texture and refreshing acidity. "
Up there with a couple of our favorites.
