18/20 | Raymond Chan.
Superdeal pricing on this excellent Marlborough Pinot Gris from a former winner of the Air New Zealand Wine Awards "Wine Producer" of the Year. Quite a powerful style with spicy stonefruit characters underpinned with classic semi-ripe pear flavours. Highly recommended in the key sub$20 bracket.
18/20 Raymond Chan: "Dryish to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has a lively core with good richness of yellow stonefruits entwined with florals and honeysuckle, and a subtle layering of savoury minerally lees. The wine flows along a fine-textured line and the mouthfeel is vibrant and refreshing with crisp acidity. The flavours carry with good linearity to a lingering, elegant finish. This is a refreshing and lively dryish Pinot Gris with stonefruit, floral and honeysuckle notes complexed by savoury lees."
