Produced by ex Peregrine winemaker Pete Bartle, Providore is quickly winning a big reputation in Central Otago for top drawer wines at affordable price points. This Blanc de Noir is made from Central Otago Pinot Noir but no skin contact has ensured the lightest of rosé hues. In effect, it's partly a rosé and partly a white wine. It's a relatively rare wine style but utterly delicious; fresh and juicy, fleshy flavours in the very light strawberry spectrum mix with some refreshing acidity and the result is quite magical. Highly recommended.
Sam Kim writes "Made from 100% pinot noir, this is delightfully fruited on the nose showing ripe strawberry, stone fruit and floral characters, leading to a vibrant palate that is silky and refreshing. The wine offers elegant fruit intensity with fine texture, finishing long and flavoursome."
