Dry, richly fruited Viognier from a Hawkes Bay winery that everyone is watching. A powerful wine with plenty of palate drive and rounded, textural mouthfeel.
The winery writes "Bold and unashamedly forthright, this flamboyant wine is a rock star in the making. Hand picked from our ultra low cropped Tracks block, then whole bunch pressed and fermented in barrels. Full phenological ripeness is complimented by the use of new and one year old French Saury immersion barrels; no holds barred with this oak programme, the best grapes deserve the best oak, and we are never disappointed with the result. Spice leading to ripe apricots and hazel nuts, this wine is evolving and is yet to tell its full story, cellaring potential in the medium term 4 - 6 years."
