FIVE STARS 93/100 | Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
An out and out winner with a deserved following amongst canny Kiwi wine buyers. Saddleback may be Peregrine's entry level label but most Central Otago producers would be proud to call it their flagship. Obvious value.
The winery writes "Strawberry, raspberry and floral aromas combine with subtle brown spice and a hint of thyme."
Sam Kim writes "It's sweetly fruited and enticing on the nose with ripe cherry, smoked mushroom, thyme and roasted nut characters. The palate displays excellent weight and fleshy texture together with juicy fruit flavours and silky tannins, making it instantly appealing and fabulously drinkable."
