Try something a little different! A classic example of one of Italy's most famous wines, this Amarone is powerful yet soft with savoury dark frut characters balanced with sweeter caramel flavours.
The winery writes: "A vigorous, full-bodied deep ruby red wine. Clean and vibrant fragrances of currants, blackberries and sweet almonds on the nose, with notes of vanilla. Big texture, warm and rich, with soft and silky tannins and a long finish."
One of Italy's most famous wines, Amarone is made by the centuries old technique of allowing the grapes of the Veneto region to semi-dry in the sun before they are pressed. The grape sugars are intensified and this results in an extremely concentrated, deeply structured wine which is fermented to full alcohol (15%) and dryness. A stunning partner to all red meat dishes.
