EXCLUSIVE LIBRARY STOCK CLEARANCE

4.5 STARS 91/100 | Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
FOUR STARS 17/20 | Raymond Chan

Pask is one of the longest-running and most trusted wineries in Hawke's Bay, with a long history of creating award-winning wines. We're stoked to have picked up an exclusive parcel of their library stock. These wines were made by celebrated winemaker, Kate Radburnd, and are in excellent form with a few years bottle age on them. They've been held in wine storage since production and are sourced directly from the winery. Stock is limited and it is strictly first in, first served.

Pask were one of the first wineries to plant the Gimblett Gravels and their estate range consistently offers wines wines with plenty of palate weight and flavour. 2014 was an excellent vintage in Hawke's Bay, with stunning conditions and perfect ripening conditions leading to sensational wines across the board. With a few years bottle age, this syrah is dark and ripe with plush berry notes shining through on the palate. Excellent buying for fans of Hawke's Bay Syrah.

Tasting Notes

Joe Czerwinski writes "Despite this wine's dark hue, it's refreshingly drinkable and not overly extracted. Hints of licorice highlight black cherry and blueberry fruit, and there's a touch of graham cracker mixed in for some extra complexity. It's a fine value at the price, which is unusually reasonable for Syrah from Hawke's Bay."

Sam Kim writes "Silky, fleshy and plump, this instantly likable syrah shows dark plum, blueberry, floral and spice characters with a hint of black pepper on the nose. It is ripe and rounded on the palate, and delivers delectable fruit flavours, enhanced by silky texture and fine tannins. The wine is immediately appealing with plenty of attractive flavours."

Raymond Chan writes "Medium-full bodied, the palate possesses fresh flavours of red berry fruits entwined with notes of dark and fresh herbs, red florals, white and black pepper and spice nuances. The mouthfeel is lively from lacy acidity and the fruit is supported by light, supple tannins. The palate is refreshing and accessible, and carries to a brisk finish with light red fruit, herb and peppery notes. This is a lively Syrah with red berry fruit, herb and peppery flavours on a supple, refreshing palate."
