The entire Palliser Pencarrow range has a hard won reputation for sheer value for money and this 2019 Pinot is another prime example. With fruits in the dark red spectrum and some nicely incorporated herbal elements, there is the typical Pencarrow complexity that always sets this label apart from other Martinborough wines in the same price band. Recommended.
The winery writes "Medium bodied, silky and supple in the mouth, fine grained tannins frame the plump cherry fruit, woody and floral herbal notes mingle with the smoky French oak flavours to produce memorable complexity. A complete and harmonious vintage on release at 2 years old, the balance of this 2019 is already immaculate and the finish long and detailed. "
