We are long time fans of Palliser Estate's excellent Pencarrow range and this lovely wine is a nice expression of just off dry Martinborough Pinot Gris. It's a crisp wine with regional semi-ripe pear and apple flavours. A perfect aperitif style or enjoy with lighter meals and salads.
The winery writes "Dry to taste with a weighty and textured palate, featuring positive phenolics, hints of gingery spice and a lovely creamy texture on the finish. This vintage showcases the lush pear and apple flavours that make Pinot Gris such a crowd pleaser, but with a rare refinement and elegant dryness worthy of our Palliser Estate label."
Sam Kim writes "Delightfully styled and elegantly expressed, the pristine bouquet shows green pear, lemon peel, Gala apple and floral aromas, followed by a beautifully rounded palate displaying lovely fruit intensity together with silky texture and a lingering refreshing finish."
One of my fav Pinot Gris! Nice and fruity
