Pacificana showcases classic California Chardonnay for a new generation of wine enthusiasts. 100% barrel fermented, then aged in American oak barrels with various levels of toast, this 2019 Chardonnay strikes the perfect balance between oaky, buttery richness and fruity elegance.
Sam Kim writes "Richly fruited and gorgeously fragrant, the wine shows ripe apricot, pineapple, vanillin oak and brioche characters on the nose. The palate is equally satisfying with excellent weight and fruit intensity, wonderfully complemented by plush texture and mellow acidity. Delectable and highly enjoyable."
Cameron Douglas MS writes "Aromas and flavours of fresh yellow apple, pear and stone fruits. After 2 minutes in glass a grapefruit vanilla custard suggestion begins to emerge. Nice weight and silkiness as the wine touches the palate. Flavours of stone and apple along with the baking spice and balanced use of oak remain consistent. Moderate acidity, balanced and ready to drink from 2022 through 2026."
