Based in Marlborough, Otu (Otuwhero Estate) create bold, intense wines that capture the essence of their growing region, thoroughly over-deliver on their price points and get sensational reviews from NZ critics.

This 2021 pinot gris is a study in ripe, plush Marlborough gris, with stone fruit and pear notes on the palate and light spicy notes in support. Carefully handled acidity balances out any fruit sweetness and the result is a charming glass of wine. Highly recommended.

Sam Kim writes "This is gorgeously styled and immediately appealing on the nose showing nectarine, Nashi pear, floral and rockmelon characters, followed by a succulent palate delivering excellent weight and persistency. Beautifully textured and rounded with plenty of tasty flavours."

Cameron Douglas MS writes "Green pear and apple, some quince and white spice, moments of mineral and fresh elderflower. Fresh and crisp on the palate with some residual sweetness tickling the senses followed by flavours of white fleshed tree fruits reflecting the bouquet, medium+ acidity and a balanced even finish."
