The Opawa wines are made by the winemaking team at Nautilus Estate, with fruit coming off vineyards located on the old river bed of the Opawa River in Marlborough. Their focus for the Opawa range is to produce low-intervention wines while preserving the wetland ecosystem around them.
This 2021 rosé release is vinted in a dry style with mouth-filling crunchy summer fruit flavours. A charming wine that will pair perfectly with summer cuisine.
The winery writes "This wine is bright light salmon colour with a charming and vivacious nose of red apples, berry fruits, watermelon and spices, leading into a mouth filling, smooth palate. The finish is fresh, clean and dry. Opawa Rosé is a dry wine that is a perfect aperitif or accompaniment to fresh summer cuisine."
