FIVE STARS 94/100 | Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
18.5/20 | Michael Cooper
This is a plush and juicy co-ferment of three classic aromatic varietals and a wine that is sure to draw you under its spell. Dry to taste (but certainly not austere), it shows a silken blend of delicate tropical and nutty / bees wax flavours and a fresh citrus finish. It's a perfect aperitif. Captivating. Refreshing. Supercool.
This wine is certified organic.
Sam Kim writes "This is gorgeous and delectable; the bouquet is impressively fragrant showing tropical fruit, orange peel, Turkish Delight, warm spice and potpourri characters. The palate is equally gratifying with delicious fruit flavours and plush mouthfeel, wonderfully supported by velvety texture and refreshing acidity. The wine was co-fermented with gewurztraminer, riesling and muscat."
Michael Cooper writes "Full of personality, the light gold 2017 vintage (4.5*) is a blend of Gewurztraminer, Riesling and Muscat, co-fermented in tanks and large oak barrels. Weighty, with a spicy, vaguely honeyed bouquet, it is a strongly Gewurztraminer-influenced style, with concentrated, peachy, spicy, slightly honeyed flavours and a firm, dryish (7.4 grams/litre of residual sugar) finish. Certified organic."
