A lovely example of dark, broody Petite Sirah (also known as Durif) from this excellent Californian producer. This wine is full bodied and overflowing with classic Petite Sirah flavours of spiced red berries and some herbal/tobacco notes. Lovely wine.
The winery writes "The 2016 Petite Sirah is deep purple in color, with an exceptionally bright hue. The nose is filled with ripe blackberry, toffee and a bit of clove. Flavors of juicy dark berry fruit are abundant. The round dense wine has a mocha finish which is absent of any astringency."
