The Radici Riserva di Mastroberardino comes from vines of around 20 years of age located in the upper part of the Montemarano vineyard, in the province of Avellino. Vinted from 100% Aglianico, it was given a long maceration on the skins before maturing in French and in Slavonian oak barrels for 30 months, after which it is aged for at least 36 months in bottle.
It is characterized by a bright ruby red color. On the nose it exhibits a bouquet of ripe black cherry, accompanied by notes of leather, licorice and tobacco. The taste shows an indomitable minerality, revealing itself warm and material, with a long finish that evolves on elegant tones of plum and black pepper.
The winery writes "Deep ruby red. Bouquet broad and complex, full of ripe fruit, floral, sweet spice, moss and licorice. Powerful and austere, freshness and tannins are in perfect balance, closes with a long finish that recalls the fruity and spicy scents."
