We love Waipara Riesling and this is a standout vintage for Main Divide. We've been backing this delicious wine for years. We love the lush juicy fruit characters, and sweet botrytis influence that are backed by a spine of fresh acidity. Enjoy.
93 points Sam Kim | Wine Orbit: "This is cracking good. Richly aromatic and complex, the bouquet shows baked peach, mango, honey and mixed spice characters with subtle flinty notes. It is succulent and generously flavoured on the palate, enhanced by elegant sweetness which is perfectly countered by juicy acidity. This is not just for the riesling fans, any wine lovers will enjoy this beauty. Medium-dry. At its best: now to 2019."
Its bouquet and flavour suggests limes, lemons, white peaches and nectarines. There is also an underlying hint of tropical spices and lychees. It has good fruit concentration and fullness in the mouth, but it remains elegant, lithe and stylish. It has a core of minerality and crisp acidity which flows through the wine and draws out the finish.
