94 POINTS | Cameron Douglas "A fine, balanced and well made wine, quite lengthy and complex".
Little X is a label on the rise and this is another wonderful example of modern New Zealand Chardonnay from talented Marlborough winemaker Tim Adams. It's a perfectly balanced style that sits in the middleweight spectrum but the palate drive and fresh, creamy characters fill your mouth and flood your palate with tangy stonefruits and ripe citrus flavours. Lovely wine.
Cameron Douglas MS writes "An intriguing bouquet of Chardonnay with layers of flowers - honeysuckle and apple blossoms, white fleshed fruits - peach and apple and citrus of grapefruit. A light leesy quality adds shape and texture to the bouquet - fine and gently creamy. Equally fine and intriguing on the palate with flavours that mirror the nose plus acidity, oak and fine mineral attributes. A fine, balanced and well made wine, quite lengthy and complex. Drink now and through 2023+".
