GOLD MEDAL | NZIWS 2020
FIVE STARS 94/100 | Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
A MASSIVE STAFF FAVOURITE
Our team are well known fans of good Australian Grenache so we were thrilled when this absolute gem made it on to our tasting table. Beautifully presented in gorgeous heritage squat bottles, this really is the perfect red. It's a generous style showcasing the softer flavours of Australian Grenache - a variety we often describe as tasting like good Kiwi Pinot Noir blended with the power and weight of Aussie Shiraz.
Sam Kim writes "Youthfully fruited and instantly appealing with perfumed aromas of sweet berry and floral with a hint of fragrant spices. The beautifully weighted palate is both elegant and generous with succulent fruit intensity and flowing mouthfeel, finishing gorgeously long and velvety."
The winery writes "The Little Giant Grenache just keeps getting better. A wine that is both mouth-filling yet medium weight with ripe fruited intensity. Vital red and dark berry fruit underpinned by hints of chocolate and integrated oak. The palate delivers tight-knit tannins and ensures a lasting flavour of berries, vanilla and freshly ground spices. Perfect with lamb souvlaki and spicy cous cous."
Excellent bottle of wine.

Fruity and perfect drinking now
