FIVE STARS 93/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit "The palate delivers lovely weight and flow, wonderfully complemented by fine texture and juicy fruit flavours"
90 POINTS | Bob Campbell MW "A stylish wine in a stylish package that offers value at this price." (reviewed at $27)
We fell in love with this wine at The Oyster Inn, the famous Waiheke Island restaurant. It was recommended by the wine steward and soon everyone at our table was raving about it so, after several bottles, we immediately tracked down the importer as soon as we left the premises.
Les Peyrautins personifies everything we like about good southern French rosé. It's fresh and tangy, and while it has been vinted dry, a seam of softer flowing fruit characters adds a magical touch to the mid-palate and makes this delicious wine absolutely sing. If you like quality French Rosé and like to hang out in the $20 bracket, you'll go a long way to do better than this.
Sam Kim writes "93pts. Fresh and elegantly perfumed, the bouquet shows crunchy apple, nectarine and lemon peel aromas with a hint of sweet strawberry. The palate delivers lovely weight and flow, wonderfully complemented by fine texture and juicy fruit flavours, finishing long and mouth-watering."
Bob Campbell writes "From the Languedoc in southern France. Attractive dry rosé with Turkish Delight, rose petal, raspberry and spice flavours. A stylish wine in a stylish package that offers value at this price."
