The Les Jamelles range has become a staple at Advintage HQ, famous for offering delicious French wines at friendly price points. This 2020 syrah is plush and rounded, with layers of pillow-soft red fruit flavours and delicate tannins. It's just so approachable; a perfect anytime French red that we know will impress.
Sam Kim writes "A gorgeous modern expression from the South of France, the bouquet shows Black Doris plum, blackberry, roasted nut, smoky bacon and floral aromas. It's equally satisfying on the palate displaying beautifully rounded mouthfeel and silky flow. Medium-full-bodied and immediately appealing."
Cameron Douglas MS writes "Aromas and flavours of a vibrant, fresh and youthul red wine with scents of black currant and blue fruits then a granitic, woody layer adding depth and foundation. Plums and raspberries, some violet floral tones and wood spices of vanilla and clove layer through as the wine opens up in glass. Dry, juicy, fleshy and crisp. Fine tannins and medium+ acid line contribute to a balanced and well made wine."
The winery writes "Les Jamelles Syrah boasts deep colour and a syrupy consistency. Its wild fruit (raspberry, redcurrant, blackcurrant) and floral (violet) aromas harmonize with flavours of spices, vanilla and cinnamon, along with a touch of mint. This wine is very rich and full on the palate, with a touch of minerality as well as a long, silky finish that is of rare complexity and boasts a lovely lasting hint of liquorice."
