60% Grenache, 30% Shiraz, 10% Carignan.
This is a textbook example of modern Cotes du Rhone made in a very accessible, deliciously drinkable, modern style. Velvet smooth, beautifully balanced and flavoursome, this is a very attractive wine that will deliver relaxed drinking pleasure over the next few years.
Cameron Douglas MS writes "Light ruby colour at the core with a pink rim. Enticing aromatics with a classic bouquet of ripe sweet plum and raspberry, there’s an earthy granite-like layer delivering depth and complexity and floral youthful layer. Equally ripe, fruity and enticing on the palate with a youthfully firm texture contrasted by a core of fruit flavours that reflect the bouquet. Tannins and light and easy, acidity adds crunch and freshness and the wine finishes at it began with a plum and raspberry flavour along with cherry and a light mineral savoury complexity. A great food wine, easy to drink and ready from summer 2022 and through 2024."
Sam Kim writes "Wonderfully ripe and perfumed with Black Doris plum, blackcurrant, roasted hazelnut and mixed spice aromas, leading to a gorgeously rounded palate offering terrific fruit intensity together with velvety mouthfeel and fine polished tannins. Modern and flavoursome with a satisfying finish."
