Lamont are a boutique producer from the Bendigo sub-region of Central Otago. Vines were planted by Craig and Angela Gasson in 1999 with a focus on matching vines to soil types and organic production. This is a dry style pinot gris with well-balanced flavours of stone fruits, apple and a hint of honey. An attractive line of acidity makes this a very refreshing glass of wine.
The winery writes "Bright with light straw colour, the nose is soft and full, with well concentrated aromas of white and yellow stone fruits along with subtle pear and honeysuckle elements. A drier style Pinot Gris with a voluptuous palate that features a softly rich melange of stone fruits, floral and minerals, with nuances of honey and flint. The flavours beautifully balanced and harmonious and follow a fine textured line with excellent acid poise."
