CANCELLED OLD LABEL EXPORT PINOT NOIR MEGADEAL | A compelling opportunity to buy perfectly bottle aged, good quality Pinot Noir at a razor sharp price.
Finding genuinely rewarding Pinot Noir we can retail at $9.99 is one of the great challenges we face as wine traders - and the high fives were flying at Advintage HQ when we sealed this incredible deal. Is this the best $9.99 Pinot we have ever sold? Probably - and if not, it's definitely a front runner and we know this will go down as one of the great Advintage quaffer wine deals.
Vinted for the US market by Tohu Wines, Kono Pinot Noir came from the excellent 2013 vintage and is now in peak drinking form. Vinted from a blend of Awatere (Marlborough) and Moutere Hills (Nelson) fruit, it was aged in French oak before being bottled in March 2015. 4 years on and this medium bodied Pinot is in great form showing classic cherry and ripe plum flavours with some lovely secondary savoury notes emerging with bottle age.
This remarkable wine is in perfect condition to be enjoyed over the coming 18+ months. If it isn't the best quaffer Pinot Noir deal in the New Zealand market today, we'd love to know what is. CLIMB IN.
The winery writes "A bright crimson hue in the glass this South Island Pinot Noir has alluring aromas of intense cherry, cassis and violet notes. A full flavoured and concentrated wine, flavours of ripe red berries and plum are supported with fine, silky tannins and balanced oak that lead to a very long, elegant finish".
