Already recognised as one of the best value Shiraz options in the market today, previous vintages of this remarkable wine always scoop gold medals and five star reviews and we are picking this to do the same. It's a real superstar at an affordable price.
Complete Clare Valley Shiraz that clearly stands up against the very best Aussie has to offer. Mixing the savoury flavour profiles of wines much higher up the food chain with sheer drinkability, it's clearly a special vintage. One of the red wine buys of the year. No risk.
The winery writes "This wine is a deep red with a bright magenta hue. Vibrant aromatics of purple fruited compote, spice and purple florals on the nose. The palate is dominated by dark fruits and brambles, spice and a hint of warming oak, with a seamless flow and integrated tannin.Juicy dark fruit flavours persist through the finish, with a hint of violet to close."
Ralph Kyte-Powell writes "Deeply-coloured with plenty of extract, this smells immediately inviting, pure and aromatic, with less of the mint/eucalypt characters that sometimes mark shiraz from Clare. It's medium to full-bodied, plump and texturally attractive, with real length and succulent balance. Good value."
I've had previous vintages of this one and this is just as great
