4.5 STARS 91/100 | Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
The supercool labels and funky six packs promise so much and so we were stoked to find that we loved what's going on in the glass here. Pinot Grigio can be dull and insipid but this one brings plenty of flavour to the party; a fresh and vibrant style with flavours in the green apple and crisp pear spectrum. It's an unashamed attempt to bring New World weight and texture to this classic white wine and fans of New Zealand Pinot Gris will find much to like here. Rustle up a deli-platter and get the gang around immediately.
Sam Kim writes "It's gently lifted on the nose showing green pear, dried grass and lemon peel aromas, leading to a crisp-dry palate that's lively and pleasingly dry. A friendly tasty offering."
The winery writes "A lovely fresh nose of subtle stone fruit, spice, riverstone and subtle musk. Very pure and beautifully layered with fruit-driven flavours of nashi pear and freshly cut apple building to an expansive and textured mid-palate contrasted by slatey complexity and a briney twang. An impressively intense and complex wine with a beautiful mineral backbone."
