Of all the wines I import, this is one of my favourite quaffers at home | Steve Bennett MW
This rich, fulsome blend of Negroamaro, Primitivo, Montepulciano and Nero d'Avola from Puglia in Southern Italy was brought into New Zealand by gifted importers Steve Bennett MW. It's a bold, opulent wine with all the flavours bases well and truly covered. On the palate it shows velvet smooth, silky layers of dark spicy red fruits that flood the palate and linger on and on.
This will go down as one of the red wine buys of the year in our book.
Fantastic value with the Advintage Advantage.
Sam Kim, Wine Orbit writes "Sweetly fruited and attractively expressed, the inviting bouquet shows Black Doris plum, spiced cherry, vanilla and hazelnut characters with subtle gamey complexity. The palate is succulent and supple with fleshy mouthfeel and silky texture, wonderfully supported by velvety tannins. Flavoursome and immediately appealing"
Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review writes "A blend of negroamaro, primitivo, montepulciano and nero d'avola from Puglia in Southern Italy. Juicy, almost syrupy, red with ripe plum, fruitcake, dried fruits, vanilla and subtle spice flavours. The perfect wine for pasta served with a rich meat sauce"
