FIVE STARS 97/100 | Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
FIVE STARS | Michael Cooper
A fine example of top flight Marlborough Pinot from the regions most highly regarded Pinot Noir vineyard. Fragrant and quite feminine on the nose, the palate builds in the mouth as the finer details of fresh red fruits are revealed. There are plenty of secondary herbal and spice characters coming into play but everything feels balanced and together in this wines youth. It has obvious ageing potential and Pinot Noir from the Calyvin vineyard have proven cellar ability. All class.
Sam Kim writes "A magnificent offering; the fabulously fragrant bouquet shows dark berry aromas with dried herb, warm spice, flint, almond and floral notes, followed by a impeccably focused palate that offers outstanding weight and depth. It is multi-layered and symphonic, as well as firmly structured, promising to evolve graciously. From the Brancott Valley district."
