As part of a label re-vamp, Framingham Wines in Marlborough introduced the ‘Nobody’s Hero’ range to reflect the company’s involvement with music, as expressed by the annual Framingham Harvest Concert. The label was introduced at the end of last year as a "salute to the rebels, the radical, the offbeat and the underground”, whose music and culture features in the concert.
This is an immediately friendly Pinot Noir made to be enjoyed with or without food. Medium-bodied but firmly packed, it is youthfully bright and fresh-fruited with dark-red cherry and raspberry fruit entwined with dark herb notes.
Framingham is donating 10c from every bottle sold in New Zealand to New Zealand MusicHelps, a charity that uses the power of music to change the lives of people experiencing hardship and illness. Initiatives include financial assistance, healthcare programs and music-based community projects.
The winery writes "Aromas of dark cherry, berry fruits and smoke. Flavours of red fruit compote and mocha. Juicy and fleshy in the mouth with soft tannins and persistent flavour. Easy to drink on its own, or to match with food."
