Barnstorming value. Beautifully presented. This really is the perfect everyday red.

Our client base has developed a real soft spot for Fontana wines and Mesta is a generous style showcasing the softer flavours of Spanish Grenache. Soft and supple, it’s great with food but slurpy good if you just feel like an approachable, silky smooth glass of red wine. Mesta Grenache is Certified Organic.

For the uninitiated, Grenache shares many of the dark cherry flavours of robust Pinot Noir but has far more palate weight. Think of it like Pinot Noir crossed with Aussie Shiraz and you're on the right track.

Description

The winery writes "A juicy, fleshy unoaked red wine, showing great purity and the typicity of high-altitude Garnacha from the heart of Spain, with expressive and well-defined aromas of black cherries and strawberries over subtle notes of spice and herbs. Bright ruby red colour. Fresh and with an excellent persistence on the palate. Versatile, medium to full bodied food wine, excellent with grilled, stewed and braised meats as well as pasta and tapas."
