AN ABSOLUTE STUNNER | MUST BUY WINE FOR SERIOUS FANS OF OPULENT AUSSIE SHIRAZ!
FIVE STARS 93/100 | Sam Kim, Wine Orbit "a succulent palate that's plump and lingering."
This is seriously good wine. Vinted by celebrated winemaker Corey Ryan (ex head winemaker at Villa Maria, McWilliams and Henschke) this is a pure expression of modern McLaren Vale Shiraz that has been vinted in a plush and silky style with masses of spicy dark fruits and pillow soft tannins. Sourced from 15 year old vineyards that see no herbicides or pesticides, this is a rare example of premium organically farmed McLaren Vale Shiraz. It's about as silky and opulent as Aussie Shiraz gets and we were smitten immediately with its velvet smooth palate and mouthfilling richness.
In our book, 93/100 from Sam Kim doesn't do this sensational wine justice. It's way better than that. Buy with our highest recommendation.

Sam Kim writes "Offering excellent fruit purity, the wine shows blackberry, violet, olive, vanilla and hazelnut characters on the nose, followed by a succulent palate that's plump and lingering. It's upfront and flavoursome with plenty of tasty flavours."
Huan Hooke writes "Deep red colour with a good purple tint, and an aroma of very ripe, slightly stewed mulberry fruit. The palate texture is drying, savoury and almost chewy, the tannins a mite clunky. Very ripe and big, with a nerve of tangy acidity running through. The palate is firm and drying and the bright acidity helps to leave the mouth refreshed."
The winery writes "Classic and distinct nose that typifies the McLaren Vale – a wondrous swathe of red and dark fruits with hints of chocolate and mocha. Delicious Shiraz palate in full flight with layers off dark fruit concentration."
