Enzo Bartoli puts an emphasis on sourcing grapes from local, smaller growers to give them a chance to represent their fruit on a global stage. They work closely with growers to select premium parcels of fruit to bring consumers quality wine at affordable price points.
Cortese is a white grape, commonly grown in the Piemonte region in Northern Italy. It's associated with crisp, vibrant wines with bright citrus notes and this 2019 release from Enzo Bartoli is an accurate reflection of that.
The distributor writes "Apple, lime, green melon and honeydew fruit characters are complexed by herbal notes and complex almond characters from yeast lees. This is a bone-dry wine with with delightful freshness and bracing acidity at just 12% ABV. It is perfect to drink on its own or with fresh seafood dishes and salads. Drink now or age for another 1 to 2 years."
