The winery writes "Blood red in colour with a nose bursting with ripe plums, dark berries and hints of forest floor. The palate is fruit-driven with a core of supple red berry and cherry flavours highlighted by smoky spice complexity. Bright acidity and fine tannins provide definition to the long finish. Perfect with game dishes or mushroom risotto."
Sam Kim writes "Sweetly fruited and easy going, the wine shows spiced cherry, game, dried herb and almond notes on the nose. The palate is smooth and rounded with mellow mouthfeel and fine tannins, making it friendly and pleasant drinking."

Really enjoyed this wine, had a wee few central otago notes about it.
