On the palate - youthful, fine, complex, and pure. A really lovely wine, distinctive and captivating with a core of fresh stone fruits and sweet citrus, lees and wood spice qualities, a great acid line and texture, lengthy finish."

Micahel Cooper writes "The memorable 2020 vintage (5*) was estate grown and hand harvested at Te Awanga and fermented and matured for a year in French oak casks (32% new). Bright, light lemon/green, it is a notably 'complete' wine, mouthfilling, very complex and savoury, with deep, ripe stone fruit flavours, finely intergrated oak, and a well-rounded, harmonious, powerful finish."
