Michael Cooper writes "The very classy 2016 vintage (*****) was estate‐grown at Te Awanga (83 per cent) and in the Bridge Pa Triangle (17 per cent), and fermented and matured for a year in French oak barrels (34 per cent new). A beautiful, notably refined young wine, it is highly fragrant, with gentle, mealy, biscuity aromas adding complexity. Full‐bodied, with ripe stonefruit flavours, showing lovely delicacy and concentration, finely balanced acidity and a long, seamless finish, it's already delicious but likely to be long‐lived; open 2020."
