This is such a winner. A blend of syrah, grenache and carignan, this is full flavoured old vine Corbieres from a producer with a reputation for producing outstanding value wines. Those ripe flavours remind you why the red wines of Southern France are loved the world over and this is an immediately attractive style with a nice balance between soft fruits and more serious underlying structure. Recommended.
The winery writes "On this very special terroir, the Syrah, Grenache and Carignan vines, picked by hand, dig deep into the rocky land. This terroir conceives rich, mouthwatering wines which owe more to the natural aromas of the garrigue than to oenological pretensions. This great wine is redolent of red fruits and spice, it's very open and creamy, delightfully long."
