Dalmore's Port Wood Reserve is an indulgent, smooth, single-malt - bottled at a higher percentage than Dalmore traditionally run, which the Master Distiller credits to giving this fine whisky “the optimum sensory experience”.
As with all Dalmore, the double gold-winning Port Wood Reserve is initially matured in American oak ex-Bourbon casks, laying down foundations for the hand-selected Tawny Port Pipes to further work their magic and bring in sumptuous layers of rich plumbs, orange, coffee and sweet cherry.
On the nose you'll get sweet red berries, oranges, plummy fruits and sticky toffee pudding. The palate will bring nectarines, creamy caramel, roasted chestnuts and coffee. Finishing with rich plums, sultanas, blood oranges and macerated cherries.
