91/100 | Jamie Goode
FIVE STARS 94/100 | Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
A fine expression of dry Martinborough Riesling - tangy and crisp with fine lines of fresh citrus acidity racing through a nicely fleshy and lightly textural palate. Textbook wine - approachable it its youth but begging for cellar time for further complexity to be revealed.
The winery writes 'Pale golden straw. Intensely varietal from first opening. Lavender, rose petal and freshly squeezed lime juice notes all jump from glass. Palate is both deeply complex and immediately enjoyable. Classical floral and citrus notes steam through a remarkably textural palate, whilst an arrow head of acidity drives through the centre but is perfectly balanced by deft residual sugar. An upright wine that will stand for the ages."
Sam Kim writes "Pristine and fabulously expressed, the bouquet shows white flesh nectarine, Gala apple, lime sorbet and white floral aromas, followed by a brilliantly focused palate that's juicy and persistent. It's gorgeously elegant and linear with fine texture backed by vibrant acidity, finishing impressively long and mouth-watering."
