4.5 STARS 91/100 | Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
Fiano is a high-quality grape variety commonly grown in the south of France. It is typically dry with subtle spice and tropical fruit flavours on the palate - think a mixture of top qualtiy pinot gris and dry riesling.
This comes from Codici Maserie which sits under the MGM Mondo del Vino group of wineries. It's full-bodied and textural with citrus and pear notes and fresh acidity. A perfect match for light seafood dishes and salads. Delish.
Sam Kim writes "This is fresh and elegantly fragrant on the nose showing apricot, humus and green rockmelon characters with a lovely lime zest overtone. The palate displays juicy fruit flavours and elegant weight backed by crisp acidity, finishing long and vibrant. Nicely textured and harmonious."
The winery writes "This Fiano has a bright lemon colour with a golden tinge. The nose offers an inviting mixture of citrus and tropical fruit with floral hints. Crisp acidity and good palate texture make for a really refreshing and satisfying glass of wine!"
