4.5 STARS 18/20 POINTS | Raymond Chan
It's impossible to argue with the sheer value for money that the Church Road range represents and this is a lovely example of dry Hawkes Bay Pinot Gris from a quality winemaking team. Humbly priced but with the presence of wines much higher up the food chain, this is great buying.
Raymond Chan writes: "The nose is very delicate and subtle with ethereal aromas of strawberry fruit with gentle red florals, a little quince and suggestions of thirst-quenching herbs and minerals. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, the flavours are delicate but positively expressed with a fine, subtle core of strawberries and quince fruit entwined with red floral nuances and thirst-quenching herb elements."
