GOLD MEDAL | Concours International de Lyon
GOLD MEDAL | Concours de Grands Vins de France a Macon
There are some remarkable buys coming out of France these days and this is an excellent example of merlot-dominant Bordeaux that punches well above our sub $20 price point. 2017 was a good vintage in Bordeaux and this release is typical of the 2017 wines from the Entre-deux-Mars area -soft, broad and very appealing. The palate is rich with dark, savoury fruit flavours and the finish offers plenty of tannic grip. Two gold medals in well regarded French wine shows hint at the quality on offer here and we know you'll be impressed when you crack your first bottle. Great value here. Limited stocks.
The winery writes "This vintage offers a nice crimson and purple colour. The nose is very expressive with ripe fruits, morello cherries with discrete oaky notes and vanilla overtone. The attack is ample and frank with a rich and intense tanic structure. Long aromatic finish with ripe fruit notes and compote."
