SILVER MEDAL | Decanter World Wine Awards.
17.5/20 | Raymond Chan.

Classic Crozes- Hermitage from one of the Rhone valley's greatest producers. We like to think of its as a junior version of Chapoutier Hermitage - with less concentration and aging potential but selling at a fraction of the price. The quality of the 2014 vintage shines through here. Lovely wine.

Description

Raymond Chan writes: "Medium-bodied, the fruit flavours are initially reserved, with soft flavours of red berry fruits, dark raspberries, red florals, white and black pepper and subtle, savoury layers of herbs, earth and spices. The palate is softly textured with supple tannin extraction and integrated acidity. The flavours of earth, game and savoury herbs emerge on the back palate and carry to a soft, dry finish with raspberry and peppery nuances. This is a soft, supple and accessible Crozes-Hermitage with dark red berry fruits and peppery notes, along with gentle savoury interest. 17.5/20"
