All class here and, as one commentator wrote, "Palmer & Co. might just be the best Champagne house you have never heard of".
Palmer & Co distinguishes itself through the grands terroirs of Reims, where all its vineyards are classified as Premier or Grand Cru.
Aged on lees for 6 years prior to release, the 2012 is an exceptional vintage wine. Vinted from 54% Chardonnay and 46% Pinot Noir, this a full-bodied yet elegant release with nutty and citrus notes on the palate. Perfectly balanced and a lovely fresh finish. Sensational.
The winery writes "VINTAGE 2012 has a delicate fruit-scented nose of pear and white peach, slightly smoky aromas with notes of spices (vanilla, cinnamon). The wine charms the palate with its notes of Panettone (hazel nuts, candied orange). It stands out for its fullness and excellent balance. The 2012 vintage is full-bodied, suave in character and ending with a pronounced freshness. A great vintage with a high cellaring potential."
International Wine and Spirits Competition judges write "Gloriously indulgent with a pronounced nose of green fruits and freshly baked brioche leading onto a palate brimming with tropical fruit, cream and pastry flavours. Full of depth with lively acidity and culminating in a triumphant fruity finale. Sensational!"
