93 POINTS | Cameron Douglas MS "Beautiful on its own, watch the magic unfold with venison, lamb, game and duck".
Considered to be one of New Zealand's finest producers, Astrolabe have built their reputation on consistently producing exceptional wines. This Marlborough Pinot Noir is no exception - a generous expression with plenty of weight and complexity. The 2016 is a full bodied wine with round, mouthfilling flavours in the plum, brambly fruit and dark cherry spectrum. The oak component integrates nicely with the fruit, and combines well with the silky and linear tannin structure. Highly recommended.
Cameron Douglas writes "Savoury ripe plum, dark cherry and smoky oak on the nose with a full bodied, mouth filling palate. The oak integrates nicely with the fruit and combines well with the silky tannin structure. Beautiful on its own, watch the magic unfold with venison, lamb, game and duck."
