With a heritage traced back to 1385 and spanning twenty-six generations, Antinori are basically the Royal Family of Italian winemaking. And with the Antinori brand boasting super-premium releases such as Tignanello which can reach hundreds of dollars in value, the Santa Cristina certainly enters at the more humble end of the spectrum. 

But what the Santa Cristina may lack in prestige, it makes up for in serious bang-for-your-buck. With rich flavours of plum, raspberry and olive, and plenty of silky, generous mouthfeel, this smart little mover deserves a top spot on any dinner table. It's seriously good drinking - approachable, supple and with those dry tannins you expect from Tuscany.
