95 POINTS | Cameron Douglas MS
Classically dry Central Otago Riesling from this much admired, premium producer. Tight and dry with some lovely floral / lime notes and fresh lingering acidity.
The winery writes "Ripe Meyer lemon and mandarin on the nose, matched to crisp green apple on the palate. The flinty, mineral acidity drives through the palate, tempered by richness from the extended time aging on lees. A serious, structured style of Riesling that will drink well now or reward up to 10 years in the cellar."
Cameron Douglas MS writes "Aromas of white flowers and lime flower, fresh apple and white peach. There’s a fine line of dried herb that adds complexity alongside a core of minerality - a sense of place. On the palate - flavours of fresh green apple and lemon, white flower and spice, mineral and citrus tang. Delicious, fresh, salivating with a light salinity and lengthy. An excellent aperitif expression or with fresh sashimi."
