The Chevre Noire cuvées are the result of a selection of their best Burgundies from the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits vineyards. Partly aged in barrels, this cuvée is vinified and bottled with the same care as their first and great vintages.
This wine takes its name from an old tale, from the time when goats could still graze freely on the edge of the vines. A black goat almost systematically abandoned the herd to feast on vine buds. In tribute to this animal with such good taste, Albert Ponnelle decided to produce an authentic and original wine, the ‘Réserve de la Chèvre Noire’.
