Welcome to our help & information section.

We've worked hard to make your shopping experience at Advintage as easy, intuitive and enjoyable as possible. The following brief notes should give you all the information you need to make the most of our site. For more information, look at our FAQ and Terms & Conditions sections by clicking the buttons on the bottom of our site.




Creating an account
To buy wine from us you need to create an account.
Creating an account allows us to recognise you when you return, store your order information and simplify the buying process for you. You'll automatically be asked to either Log In or Create a new account when you click the checkout button on on your first time ordering with us. But, if you'd like to open an account before then simply click the "Create Account' tab from the the header bar at the top of our site and fill out the simple form.

You can view and update your account details at any time by clicking the "My account" button at the base of your trolley.

Logging in

If you have already opened an account with us, it's best to sign in each time you visit our site. This process is called Logging In and it will make your shopping experience faster and give you access to lots of cool features such as adding wines to your own personal Favourites list and viewing your previous purchases.
If you need to log in to complete an activity we will remind you.

To log in just click on the Log In link on the very top right of our site - above 'Great wine deals you'll love buying.'  If you're using your regular,  personal computer (ie no shared access) then tick the 'Remember me' box at this point and next time you visit the site will automatically log you in.

You can browse the site without logging on, but you do need to log in to Place an Order, Add to your Favourites. View Past orders and amend any of your account details. 

Finding your wine

If you know the name of the wine you're searching for then just type it into keyword search box at the top left of the site.

If you'd like to browse a certain type of wine the easiest way to do this by using the Category search fields.
You can search by Style, Variety, Region, Price Range and the results can be refined each time you select a catergory option so you can drill right down to find the products you're after. You don't need to select all the categories,  just select one, hit the Search button to see your results and you can use the remaining categories to refine your results further.

If you do want to view all our wines (and bear in mind there are over 800) just hit the 'Wines' tab at the header at the top of the site. Wines will be listed Alphabetically and you can then order them by price as well. NB: If you select the View All option from this page it will take a while to load.

Your Shopping Cart

Your Shopping cart is located in the top right  section of the site.
When you find something you'd like to order just enter the quanity of bottles you'd like to order and hit the Add to Cart button.  The product will be added to your cart and will be visible in the shopping cart. The total of your order (excluding Freight) will be shown at the bottom of the cart. You can remove products from your cart from any  page, or if you'd like to amend the quantity just click the Edit Cart link under your Cart. 

When you're ready to place your order just hit the Go To Checkout button under the total.  

The checkout

If you're not already logged in you'll need to do so here. If you don't have an account hit the create account link.

On the checkout page you can edit quantities in your shopping cart or delete items.
The total of the items will be shown as will the appropriate delivery charge for your delivery region. (If you haven't filled in your delivery details yet, don't worry it will update when you do.) 

Promotion Codes

If you have a Promotion Code (ie if we sent you a special discount code) enter it in to the Promotion Code box and hit update order. The relevant discount will be applied to your order.

Redeeming E-Gift Vouchers
If you have been sent an Advintage E-Gift Voucher, enter the unique code in to the Gift Voucher Code box and hit update order. The voucher amount will be deducted from your order.

Gift Orders

If the order you are placing is a gift, tick the Gift Order box. Fill in the gift order details in the form that opens.
If you add a gift card and gift packaging your order total will be updated.

Delivery, Billing and Payment details

You can Add, Update or Delete address and payment details from the checkout. You can set one Delivery, Billing and Payment detail as your 'Main' details. These will be the details that the site will use each time you visit, unless you elect to change to them. 

Placing your order

When you are happy with all your details hit the Place Order button at the bottom of the page. You will have the option to submit or edit the the order on the next page.  On the final Order Summary page, have a double check through the details and hit the Submit Order button. Your order is now placed.  You'll receive an order confirmation email shortly.


My Account
You can manage all yoru account details in the My Account section of the webiste.
As well as updating basic information such as Deliverey Addresses, Payment details and Contact details there are also some special features to personalise your shopping experience. 

My Preferences

From the My Preferences page you can tell us how often you'd like to receive email specials from us and tell us which types of wine you particularly enjoy.  


My Favourites 
When you're logged in you'll notice From every product page you can 'Add to Favourites'. You can then write your own personal review of wines you have enjoyed on the My Favourites page. You can email this review to friends aswell. We'll even send you an email leting you know when wines in your favourites go on special.


View Previous Orders
In the  Previous Orders page you'll find a record of all the products you've bought from us. The current price and stock level wil, be displayed and you can add them to your cart if you wish to re-order them.


Shipping costs

Freight is $8.99 per case, or less than a case, delivered anywhere in Mainland New Zealand. 
Freight is FREE on odrers of 60 bottles or more delivered anywhere in Mainland New Zealand. 
Freight is FREE on orders of 12 bottles or more in  the Napier & Hastings urban areas. 
For delivery to Other New Zealand destinations such as Waiheke or Stewart Island an additional delivery charge will apply. Please call us on 0800 111 660 or email erin@advintage.co.nz to discuss the best option for you.
